Extra opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation next Sunday (10 March)
As part of our Lenten efforts, we will be extending the times of opportunities to celebrate God's forgiveness through the sacrament of Reconciliation. It’s a beautiful sacrament and one the church encourages us to celebrate frequently. So, next weekend individual confession will be available on Sunday between 09:45-10:30 am, 11:30 am -12:15 pm and 6-6.30 pm in the reconciliation rooms at the entrance to the Church. This will be a “pilot” and, should it be popular we will make these times available throughout Lent. If you haven’t been to confession for some time that’s fine too!
3 Suggestions to make this a special Lent
1. Why not try and attend mass before you go to work or school? We are one of the few parishes in the area that celebrate mass Mon-Friday at 8 am in the Church. Lasting 20-25 minutes it’s a great start to the day.
2. Spend time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Exposition and Benediction take place here in the Church each Saturday from 10.30 am-12 noon
3. Walk with Jesus on The Way of the Cross – Stations of the Cross begins this Friday at 3pm in the Church and every Friday until Holy Week.
